"Sarma" meal with grape leaves is a traditional dish made by wrapping a filling typically consisting of rice, ground meat, herbs, and spices in grape leaves. Grape leaves are boiled in a 1-2 min to soften before rolled. The filled grape leaves are then usually cooked by steaming, boiling, or baking until the rice and meat filling is fully cooked and the flavors are well blended. "Sarma " is a popular dish in many Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Balkan cuisines.These can either be a main dish or an appetizer, depending on your appetite.
